"Dove of Peace" Bottle Cap Mural

• Stony Brook students in grades 1 through 4 worked with Artist in Residence Mr. Mark Stankiewicz and Art Teacher Mrs. Kathleen Belton this week to create a mural from bottle caps. Students have been collecting plastic bottle caps and lids for some time and it was exciting to witness the creation of fabulous artwork from recycled materials.  
• The design for the piece is based on Pablo Picasso's Dove of Peace and will be permanently displayed at Stony Brook.
